Spring Term at Dartmouth

Spring term here at Dartmouth has just begun, and after having endured a cold winter term with lots of snow, everyone is finally taking advantage of the beautiful weather and campus environment. The green at the center of campus is no longer covered with snow, and there are always people outside playing frisbee, soccer, or simply just relaxing and enjoying the great weather! I'm personally planning on taking advantage of the great outdoors by taking a whitewater kayaking class this term. One of the requirements for graduation at Dartmouth is the completion of three physical education courses, and what better way to do it than go kayaking with the Dartmouth Outing Club! Beginning next Thursday, I'm going to be out on the Connecticut River with eleven other people for four hours every week, and I'm really looking forward to it.

Dartmouth offers an incredibly large variety of PE courses every term, from skiing and snowboarding in the winter to golf and fly fishing (and whitewater kayaking!) in the spring. You aren't graded in the classes; as long as you don't miss too many, you receive credit for the course - so you can take anything, regardless of your skill level. It's always a ton of fun!
